Our Story

“The whole world is one family” Air Force School Thanjavur with LKG and UKG classes is functioning from the beautiful campus of Air Force Station located on Thanjavur – Pudukkotai Road since 2004. The school is administered under the aegis of IAF Educational and Cultural Society. IAF Educational and Cultural society is a nonprofit making welfare institution registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 on 25 Sep 1980 vide Regn. No. S/11214. The primary objective of the Society is promotion of education, fire arts and culture and diffusion of useful knowledge mainly amongst the past and present employees of IAF, their children and families.

Besides academic excellence and intellectual development, the school endeavors to help each child discover and develop one’s innate talents and abilities. It seeks to instill in the children proper habits, positive attitudes and right values in their grooming. Conscious effort is made to foster pride and love for country and its great heritage and tradition of tolerance epitomized in the noble phrase:

Air Force School, Thanjavur is moving ahead in its journey of educational excellence with its glorious past and envisioned future. The school is committed for quality based education.Our teachers primarily attach importance to overall development of learners. They pay sincere, individual attention for strengthening knowledge base enhancing skill potential and nurturing values of our young generation. The school has built a strong value based culture which has developed a sound teacher-learner relationship. Our Education system is based on overall development through participative activities. We ensure physical, mental and moral growth of the students and create a zest of learning in them. Our aim is to promote creativity, flair, imagination and expression within the curriculam. I have the joy of nurturing the young learners for more than four years in this school.

Monday – Friday 0830Hrs to 1300 Hrs

Saturday and Sunday Holidays

LKG 03 to 05 Years as on 31 March

UKG 04 to 06 Years as on 31 March

• No admission test.

• Applications processed as per the extent of vacancies.

• Short listing and declaring the first list for admissions.

• Completion of admission formalities.

Admission Period - April 2016 (throughout the year for Transfer cases)

Academic Session Period from 01 April 2015 to 31 March 2016
